Plant expansion in pharmaceutical production – Following the integration of an acquired producer of biopharmaceutical products into the Group, a plant expansion is to take place in the areas of production and logistics. HPMlog was given the task of implementing optimal internal logistics processes at the existing site and integrating them into the growing/new production areas. HPMlog planned the logistics centre, the automatic high-bay warehouse with different temperature zones and optimized the adjacent areas such as incoming and outgoing goods, sample train and weighing cabins as well as production supply. A simulation of the main material flows was carried out as part of the planning. GMP/FDA regulations had to be taken into account in all areas during conception and planning (concept, basic and detail design).
